PY-6205 TDS

Product Overview

PY-6205 is a halogen-free environmental retardant with phosphorus and nitrogen as flame retardant elements, specially designed for glass fiber reinforced PA6, PA66.The mechanism of carbon formation and gas-phase flame retardation plays an important role in flame retardation. The glass fiber reinforced PA6, PA66 which using PY-6205 as flame retardant, can achieve UL94 V-0 (1.5mm) and passed the glow-wire test at 850℃; it is not subject to the directive on the Restriction of the Use of certain Hazardous Substances in electrical and Electronic Equipment adopted by the European Union and its Council no. 2002/95/EC. In addition, the products had the characteristics of low density, low smoke, small mold corrosion, excellent electrical properties and so on. In addition, this halogen-free flame retardant overcomes the defects of insufficient temperature resistance of traditional nylon halogen-free flame retardant, and has the characteristics of high temperature resistance, high efficiency and high cost performance.

Recommended Dosage

Adding 13%-15% PY-6205 to PA66 (30% glass fiber) achieves UL 94 V-0 (1.5mm). In PA6  (30% glass fiber), 15%-17% PY-6205 is required to achieve UL 94 V-0 (1.5mm).

Remark

The above technical parameters and recommended dosage are only reference values, and it is  necessary to make appropriate adjustment according to the product formula when using. 

The product does not need to add additional flame retardant auxiliary agent, and can achieve  ideal flame retardant effect when used alone. 

This product is non-toxic chemical additives, but refused to apply it to food, and try to avoid  children contact, In order to avoid injury accidents from accidental ingestion.
